Protect Your Assets; Buy Silver; Bankrupt JP Morgan
This may be your last chance to buy silver and take physical delivery. This one is baked into the cake, folks! Forget the MindControlMedia talking heads and their propaganda to keep your funds inside their casino. Cash out your chips before the casino goes bust and replace them with the only real money to survive 6,000 years of recorded history. If you're still afraid to protect yourself, now is the time to do a little hard thinking about money.
The US Dollar is a walking zombie, soon to be put into the dustbin of history like all fiat currencies. The major countries of the world are in a death-spiral of competing currency devaluations to try to gain a temporary advantage for their export markets. Meanwhile, where it took 40 ounces of gold to buy the Dow in 1999, today it takes about 8! Measured in terms of real money, the Dow has crashed 80% in a decade! Russia and China last week agreed to drop the US Dollar in ALL of the financial transactions between their countries, and both are accumulative massive reserves of gold and silver.
Linked at the right you can find several very reputable precious metals dealers with whom I have bought and sold. They have no large advertising costs to absorb in their prices like those promoted on national TV and radio. I've covered this issue numerous times before. It is still not too late to protect yourself.
For a great introduction to understand what honest money is, why it is essential for economic and political freedom, and why the dollar is doomed, check out Gary North's great free gold resource page. I highly recommend his free book downloads, "The Gold Wars" and "Honest Money." Silver, "poor man's gold," is set to appreciate more than gold because it is scarcer, has many industrial uses, and has had the price suppressed for so long. Remember: back in the 1980's it went over $50!
I know fear has many of you frozen like deer in the headlights. I've talked to many over the last few years. Gary North's famous motto: "Procrastination Kills" is appropriate here. Knowledge is the key to action, as well as the courage to act on your own thinking. The Ruling Class will NEVER tell you to protect your assets by removing them from their rigged financial casino and securing them with real money. But this is the time. NOW.
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence can understand that the ONLY way the federal governments of the Western world will be able to deal with their massive unfunded liabilities for welfare, health care, pensions and imperial wars is to inflate their currencies and default on their debts. If you're paying attention, you already know that. But still, you hesitate to leave the false security of their system.
I'm still gestating a series of articles on the recent tipping point we passed, what it means, and how the release is unfolding. Long story short: the Powers That Be are becoming the Powers that Were! Brush fires of Liberty are springing up everywhere with no apparent leader. Rather, we see "self-organizing collectives" (as www.HalfPastHuman.com predicted) springing up like exploding wild fires that will overwhelm Establishment efforts to control.
The current Wikileaks brouhahas appear to be false flag events to be used by the PTB in a vain attempt to shut down free thought on the internet in the classic Hegelian dialectic pattern of Action, Reaction, Solution. See "Is the Internet 9/11 Underway?" Use whatever good information is released, but resist the temptation to join the herd of Sheeple using patriotic slogans to censor the internet to "protect us from 'traitors' like the Wikileaks crew."
Now is the time to protect yourself, and help all your loved ones do the same. We have the ability to take actions to minimize the damage to ourselves and fight back in non-violent, effect ways striking the soft underbelly of the PTB. We shouldn't fear the collapse of the US Dollar any more than we should fear the tornado or hurricane we have been told is coming our way. We can't avoid it, so we must be prudent and take appropriate defensive actions now. We will have to deal with the currency collapse and the transition to a free society one way or another. Best those of you who want to be proactive and not helpless victims get started now with whatever level of preparations you have.
Grace and courage and peace to you!

Fascism Officially Arrives in America
________________________________________________________
One of the hallmarks of fascism is state control over nominally private businesses. We've had a mixed economy for my lifetime, a sort of fascism-lite. A mixed economy is a Keynesian economy, and ours is in crisis along with others around the globe. The chickens are coming home to roost. When asked about the long-range consequences of the short-term "fixes" of his policies, John Maynard Keynes replied, "In the long run, we're all dead." (Keynes, incidentally, maintained his theory was best implemented in a fascist state.)
Well, Keynes is long dead, but we're not. But Freedom is now dead in America. All that's left is the full-blown establishment of martial law, rounding up the opposition (according to the MIAC report, people who believe in the original vision of American constitutionally-limited government "We're All Terrorists Now" ), disarming the population, and the myriad of other police-state actions put in play by the Presidents going back at least to Carter.
Obama's firing of the head of General Motors forever changes the nature of American business. As James Sinclair says, "From now on rather than public corporate management looking to stockholders, their vision will be towards Washington from whom they will take their clues to act. . . . Finance, having taken over government, now has taken over public industry."
Indeed, a recent article in The Atlantic details "The Quiet Coup" that has taken place in the US. "The crash has laid bare many unpleasant truths about the United States. One of the most alarming, says a former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund, is that the finance industry has effectively captured our government—a state of affairs that more typically describes emerging markets, and is at the center of many emerging-market crises. If the IMF’s staff could speak freely about the U.S., it would tell us what it tells all countries in this situation: recovery will fail unless we break the financial oligarchy that is blocking essential reform. And if we are to prevent a true depression, we’re running out of time." [Many astute financial commentators and trends forecasters say the US will become a Third World Nation if we don't reverse course.]
Read about Timothy Geithner's "dirty little secret" that puts the global financial system at risk to benefit the financial hierarchy. Apparently Obama believes "no banker should be left behind." Peter Schiff says that last week we were "peering into the abyss." How many near misses can we have? When will the dollar die?
Obama's first 100 days in office end around April 30. As I predicted, they are, indeed, days of "shock and awe." Obama's promise of "change" is materializing as a major transformation of the governmental and economic structure of the US. The People did not vote to do this. Obama and his coalition are moving as fast as they can to implement their vision of a fascist America. They're building on the foundation laid by the Cheney-Bush administration and their predecessors. (Some may call it "Marxism." View the list. Whatever you call it, it is the opposite of freedom.) Even Democrat Senator and Constitutional scholar Robert Byrd accuses Obama of making an unconstitutional power grab.
Remember: Government never willingly gives up any power it is given. Ever. Realize that in seven years the Bush administration set up dictatorial powers in the US similar to those in Nazi Germany. "The purpose of the U.S. Constitution was to place constraints on the exercise of power. Yet, it’s now clear that for the past 7 years Bush wielded the power to ignore all constitutional restraints on his power as part of his 'war on terrorism.' Since the president wielded omnipotent power over the American people, albeit secretly, how is that different from the omnipotent power that Hitler wielded over the German people? . . . The point is that both the German people and the American people were living under some form of dictatorship — a type of political system in which there are no constraints on the power of the ruler. Remember: dictatorship entails the existence of omnipotent power, even if such power isn’t always being exercised to its full extent."
Obama has not dismantled one significant part of Bush's dictatorial apparatus.
Puppet Obama is doing all this under "liberal cover," just as Puppet Bush did all his dirty work under "conservative cover." Conservatives supported, rationalized and justified Bush actions and policies they would have fought tooth and nail if proposed by a Democrat President. Now, Liberals are doing the same thing for Obama. The anti-war Left is a mere shadow of itself during the Bush regime. Some say the Left has become a willing part of the Obama War Machine. Perhaps the theory of "cognitive dissonance" is the best explanation for this phenomenon. The phony, contradictory left-right paradigm inculcated from birth adds to the problem. (Take this simple survey to see where you stand along the liberty-power spectrum.)
So the question of the day is: Will enough Liberals wake up soon enough to sound the alarm and stop the Obama power grab?
Sadly, I don't think they will. Many Liberals I know are as intellectually lazy and peer group-dependent as many Conservatives I know. Moreover, central to their outlook is a view of Government as an agent of salvation to make society better. Many liberals are part of the system, dependent on government or NGOs for their jobs and pensions. And they bought into Obama with wild abandon. So they are not likely to admit their mistake this early in the game. If you consider yourself a "liberal," I hope you are an exception to the rule.
On the positive side, more and more people are waking up. The State Sovereignty movement is stirring in 30 or more state legislatures. Conservatives are finally snapping out of their stupor, at least at the grassroots level. My experience is that most state GOP leadership is still plugged deeply into the power structure and is actively working to limit the influence of the new people brought in by the Constitutional idealism of Ron Paul. When they say they're for limited government and support the Constitution, I think most of them believe it, even though their actions say otherwise.
Alex Jones reportedly has become the most popular radio show on the Internet. His latest film, The Obama Deception, has gone viral on YouTube and Google. This courageous man is at the tip of the spear of the awakening. Listen to his daily broadcast, continuous re-broadcast, or podcast at Infowars.com.
Some of the better-read, more independent-thinking liberals and progressives are waking up. They see the Obama lies.
- They see the expansion of the war in Afghanistan, the continuing occupation of Iraq, the saber-rattling against Iran, the unflinching support for Israel. Under Obama, the Neocon war agenda proceeds unabated. They see Obama's new defense budget is larger than Bush's.
- They see that Obama is totally in the pocket of Wall Street and the Global Elite.
- They see the preparations for martial law (or here), military operations in the US, the transformation of old military bases into FEMA concentration camps (and here).
- They see the multiple bills for compulsory "national service." Conscription is slavery. Barack Lincoln must not care for the 13th Amendment.
- They see Obama setting up a "voluntary" Civilian Expeditionary Workforce to be deployed by the military.
- They see Obama's attacks on the middle class.
- They know what it means as Obama continues to implement the total surveillance data bases in "fusion centers" in each state (and here).
- They see that Obama, instead of reining in the NSA to curb its abuses, is reorganizing the NSC and expanding its power.
- They see that Obama shares Cheney's views on illegal wiretapping.
- They see Obama allies pushing bills to outlaw organic farming and backyard gardens.
- They see the myriad bills to regulate, restrict and ban guns and ammunition.
- They see much more, and are not afraid to connect the dots.
The MIAC report mentioned above shows a governmental bias against all principled supporters of the original intent of the Constitution, calling them potential "terrorists" who are a danger to law enforcement. Even though that report was officially retracted, it is indicative of the mindset of Homeland Security. This analysis goes in-depth.
You may wonder: What does this have to do with me? What does Obama's firing of the CEO of GM mean to me? The answer is: Everything. The unconstitutional loss of freedom for one person or group is a loss for us all. If we won't draw the line to protect those we may not like, then we will likewise be unprotected.
I leave you today with this well-known piece attributed to Martin Niemoller:
"When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
When they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.
When they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.
When they came for the Jews,
I remained silent;
I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me,
There was no one left to speak out for me."
Will you speak out? Will you bravely act like The Tank Man? Will you prepare? Or will you be a collaborator and remain silent? Will you go like a sheep into your pen? And what will you tell your grandchildren?
Grace and peace and courage to you!

Obama and the Fourth Turning Watershed
"There is more continuity in Obama’s appointment of officials who will deal with the economic piracy that brought down Wall Street and impoverished millions. As in Bill Murray’s nightmare, they are the same officials who caused it. . . . Contrary to myth, Obama’s campaign was funded largely by rapacious capital, such as Citigroup and others responsible for the sub-prime mortgage scandal, whose victims were mostly African Americans and other poor people. . . . President Obama is the latest manager of an ideological machine that transcends electoral power."
Pilger finds hope in Obama's idealistic supporters who his cynical advisors say "have no place else to go. . . . If there is a happy ending to the Groundhog Day of repeated wars and plunder, it may well be found in the very mass movement whose enthusiasts registered voters and knocked on doors and brought Obama to power. Will they now be satisfied as spectators to the cynicism of “continuity”? In less than three months, millions of angry Americans have been politicized by the spectacle of billions of dollars of handouts to Wall Street as they struggle to save their jobs and homes. It's as if seeds have begun to sprout beneath the political snow. And history, like Groundhog Day, can repeat itself. Few predicted the epoch-making events of the 1960s and the speed with which they happened. As a beneficiary of that time, Obama should know that when the blinkers are removed, anything is possible."
My hope is that Obama's youthful supporters (as opposed to the die hard Democrats) will be far less tolerant of Obama's sellout than were Bush's apologists on the Christian Right. Both supported their man with religious fervor. The Millennial Generation's secular religious tendencies should prove less enduring as the reality of the Obama administration sets in. His charisma will start to ring hollow. They probably won't like his calls for mandatory "national service" (the draft). And they should have no stomach for the continued bloodshed in the Middle East. His allegiance to the Banksters and ties to corruption will be clear for all to see.
On the other hand, with the economy going in the tank, financial stress may see them opting for the security of all the new government jobs he's promising with his stimulus packages. The more idealistic/authoritarian of them may relish the idea of becoming part of his new, million-member, National Civilian Security Force. Youthful idealists are not immune. Could they become counterparts to Hitler's Brown Shirts or Mussolini's Black Shirt Militia? Is this warning by a former member of Hitler's Youth on target? Our Dear Leader is already touted as a role model and appears in government school textbooks. Is there a limit to what can be justified by an appeal to "the greater good?"
The battle for the future may well be in the hands of the Millennials as we enter the Fourth Turning. My fear is that they have been so brainwashed by the government schools and popular culture, that they won't even be able to grasp the real issues. The home schooled kids I've met are generally much better grounded and independent in their thinking than the public, and even private, schooled graduates. They are less susceptible to mob psychology, too.
It may well be that King Obama's Dream Team will complete the transformation of our once constitutional republic into fascist Amerika. Capitalism and freedom may well be dead. As Ayn Rand wrote 50 years ago, "Capitalism: [is] The Unknown ideal." What we have experienced in the US in our lifetimes is not free market capitalism, though it has been represented as such. But, "capitalism" gets the bad rap for the economic problems we face. I've heard this from three well-"educated" Millennials I know. Therefore, they are Marxists. Incredible!
America has morphed, slowly like the proverbial frog in the heating pot of water, into Amerika: "Our country was founded upon the principles of freedom, responsibility, and opportunity to succeed or fail. Government was supposed to play a limited role in our lives. Government’s function was to defend against foreign invaders, provide basic services, enforce the laws, and maintain the public infrastructure of the country. Over time government has incessantly intervened in the economic system and by successive steps has moved the country toward socialism. Millions of Americans are now totally dependent upon handouts from the government. This policy of government expansion through the use of credit at the expense of taxpayers is detrimental to the rest of society. Interventionist wars, undeclared by Congress, and maintaining military bases in 117 countries were not envisioned by the Founding Fathers. The more we consent to government intervening in our lives, the more freedom that we lose. We are now experiencing the utmost intervention by government in our 222 year history."
Ominously, Obama's continuity pick for SecDef Gates calls for greater integration between active duty and reserve military. And new rules published in the Federal Register call for expanding the military's domestic mission "to prevent environmental damage or respond to 'special events' and 'other domestic activities.'" Earlier we reported the combat brigades now stationed in the US by Northcom for domestic peacekeeping. So long Posse Comitatus!
My mood of apprehension increases as we approach the King's inauguration and his First 100 Days. They promise to be truly "transforming." Too bad for us.

So many crises, so little time!
With corporate pension funds at risk, we can expect the Fed to create more money to help keep payments going to retirees. We can expect a steady stream of corporations, corporate credit unions, cities, states, you name it, making pilgrimages to Washington to get their bailout. With unemployment slated to rise much more than the 16.5% it currently is (if calculated the old way before the Clintonistas redefined it for political advantage in 1994), pressure to spend will continue to rise. Keynesianism is slated to go out with a bang in another bubble. That bubble is the doomed US Dollar.
All these efforts are bound to make the problem worse, as they have historically. Salvation by earmarks? Sounds like the "New Deal." I can't even imagine the deals that will be made, as politicians decide who lives and who dies financially. Ain't fascism great! Why am I humming "And the Money Kept Rollin' In" from Evita?
As an additional reality check, Coach Dave speculates that we might experience real (not false flag like 9-11) terrorist attacks concurrently with the perfect financial storm that's forming. This is another good reason to make preparations. Check out his links, especially this one that makes a good case our own government is targeting patriots, Constitutionalists, anti-war activists, truthers and the like as "terrorists." I've seen reports for years about 800 FEMA concentration camps with a capacity of 16-million staffed and ready to go in the US.
Meanwhile, in anticipation of pending domestic chaos, FEMA bureau-rats are busy polishing their plans for martial law in the US. Steve Quayle's report from inside law enforcement sources indicates that the Bushama administration is gearing up for martial law, gun confiscation and civil war in America. (Listen to the report, please.) Remember Paulson's Banker Bailout Bill was rammed through under threat of martial law according the Rep. Brad Sherman and Sen. Jim Inhofe.
ObamaWatch: Even though the courts are still dismissing the numerous cases challenging Obama's eligibility to be President, the issue won't go away. And the consequences for America are staggering. In a related story, Illinois' Governor has been indicted for wide-ranging corruption charges, including trying to sell Obama's vacant Senate seat. I'm sure Obama, whose career is rooted in the Chicago political machine, is somehow unrelated to all that corrupion. Right!
The Obama Presidency still looks like Groundhog Day. Same old, same old. Business as usual.
George Ure's Urban Survival site this morning (12-8-08) has a fascinating discussion of the twin earthquake events predicted by the time monks at HalfPastHuman. If they happen within the next week or so, as predicted, these will be major events. Also, this "future leaking into the present" information technology will gain even more credibility.
Meanwhile, food shortages (i.e., famine) may be looming in the US because of shortages of diesel and propane in the far reaches of the US growing areas. The author of this article makes a good case that the Obama administration should hit the ground running on preventing this. Therefore, they probably won't, because it's not sexy enough, and it actually makes common sense.
With all these threats, it makes more sense to make at least basic survivalist preparations. I, and many others, did this for the Y2K threat that failed to manifest (thankfully). The same situation seems to be facing us today, but with far more tangible and threatening precipitating causes than a computer glitch.
The big kahuna for Y2K was the possibility of "cascading cross defaults" in the financial system which would bring the banking and commerce system to a halt. We are seeing this happening today with the collapse of commercial credit and the nuking of currencies through hyperinflation. Throw in massive unemployment in a depression, civil unrest, martial law, terrorist attacks, WMD attacks, war, outbreak of possible plagues (bird flu, etc.) and there are good reasons to make at least the most basic of preparations. It is a simple insurance issue, for the same reason you buy home, car, health, and life insurance.
Many people are already looking to survivalists for advice. The question is: do you want to prepare for these possibilities hoping that the system will continue to deliver and that the government will successfully step in if the system fails? Or do you want to have some control over your destiny by laying in basic emergency food storage, non-hybrid seeds for a victory garden, water filters, medicine, etc.? I'll be spending more time in future posts on these resources.
And please, don't send me an email saying your "preparation" is putting your faith in God and letting Him handle all these issues. Of course faith is important. Preparation is totally biblical. Witness Joseph discerning the times and storing up in times of plenty for seven years of scarcity, among others. The kind of "faith" that won't prepare is simply shifting the responsibility to others -- not a very Christian thing to do.

What We Can Expect from Obama
Obama and his support crew of filmmakers, stage designers, scrip writers and pollsters are top notch. These guys are good, very good. The art of propaganda and persuasion has come a long way since the days of Bernays, Hitler and Goebbels. At the end you could see people raising their arms to the heavens with tears in their eyes. Not much different from a Billy Graham crusade. (Expect the accusations of “anti-christ” soon enough.)
Whether the timing was scripted or not, this year’s “October surprise” has to have been the economic crisis. Whatever perceived advantage McCain had in foreign policy and “fighting terrorism” was rudely shoved aside by the fear and insecurity wrought by the onset of financial collapse. “It’s the economy, stupid” served the same focus for Obama as for Clinton in 1992 and the fear of terrorism for Bush in 2004.
Even though I’ve been writing about the coming financial tsunami since July, there is good reason to believe that it may have been precipitated for political reasons. Wall Street contributions to Obama are three times the amount for McCain. Goldman Sachs has major ties to the Democratic Party, as does financier George Soros. Both have the means, the motive and the opportunity to exacerbate the crisis.
Cliff Kincaid connects the dots: “Clearly, the controversy over the legislative “bailout” or “rescue” for Wall Street, which emerged in a big way on September 18, changed the dynamics of the presidential race. It has hugely benefited Obama by making the economy take precedence over Obama’s controversial associates, pro-socialist views, or lack of a background and security check.”
Remember: Treasury Secretary Paulson was CEO of Goldman Sachs until he joined the Bush administration a little more than two years ago. Goldman Sachs is a key player in the Plunge Protection Team. Paulson has a net worth over $700 million, much of it coming from compensation during the heyday of the derivatives boom that he is now using taxpayer funds to bail out his cronies. He lobbied for looser capital restrictions that unleashed the boom.
Substantial concerns continue about the status of Obama’s eligibility for President. If this is not dealt with conclusively before the elections, it certainly will be afterwards. Why McCain is not making this an issue is a mystery. But perhaps the reason is the same as why Bush’s Skull and Bones fraternity brother, John Kerry, chose not to pursue the obvious vote fraud in Ohio that permitted Bush to “win” the 2004 election. The “fix” may be in.
A President Obama will bring with him one of the worst records on 2nd Amendment rights of anyone in the Senate. Biden is no better. So expect to see a full-scale assault on Americans’ right of self-defense not only against ordinary criminals, but also against rogue government. Every fascist state in history has disarmed the people to make their job easier.
Alan Stang presents more information on the man pulling Obama’s foreign policy strings, Zbigniew Brzezinski. He was also McCain’s foreign policy advisor in 2000! Stang speculates Zbig will be the man behind the Obama curtain, just like Cheney has been for Bush. Joe Biden may have given us a clue about coming war with Russia. Here’s more info on NeoCon rats jumping to Obama’s ship.
Though Obama has introduced few bills while in the Senate, he’s a doozy: “The Global Poverty Act” (S.2433). “This bill is directly tied to the United Nations and serves as little more than a shakedown of American taxpayers in a massive wealth redistribution scheme. In fact, if passed, The Global Poverty Act will provide the United Nations with 0.7% of the United States gross national product. Estimates are that it will add up to at least $845 billion of taxpayer money for welfare to third world countries, in addition to the $300 billion Americans spent for the same thing in 2006.” This is another step toward a global government, as well as greater impoverishment of Americans in a time of financial crises and increasing inflation.
Here’s a list of things we can expect the Obama-Pelosi-Reid triumvirate to push through in the first 100 days from Patrick Buchanan:
“Rep. Barney Frank is calling for new tax hikes on the most successful and a 25 percent across-the-board slash in national defense. Sen. John Kerry is talking up new and massive federal spending, a la FDR's New Deal. Specifically, we can almost surely expect:
- Swift amnesty for 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens and a drive to make them citizens and register them, as in the Bill Clinton years. This will mean that Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona will soon move out of reach for GOP presidential candidates, as has California.
- Border security will go on the backburner, and America will have a virtual open border with a Mexico of 110 million.
- Taxes will be raised on the top 5 percent of wage earners, who now carry 60 percent of the U.S. income tax burden, and tens of millions of checks will be sent out to the 40 percent of wage earners who pay no federal income tax. Like the man said, redistribute the wealth, spread it around.
- Social Security taxes will be raised on the most successful among us, and capital gains taxes will be raised from 15 percent to 20 percent.
- The Bush tax cuts will be repealed, and death taxes re-imposed.
- Two or three more liberal activists of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg-John Paul Stevens stripe will be named to the Supreme Court. U.S. district and appellate courts will be stacked with "progressives."
- Special protections for homosexuals will be written into all civil rights laws, and gays and lesbians in the military will be invited to come out of the closet. "Don't ask, don't tell" will be dead.
- The homosexual marriages that state judges have forced California, Massachusetts and Connecticut to recognize, an Obama Congress or Obama court will require all 50 states to recognize.
- A "Freedom of Choice Act" nullifying all state restrictions on abortions will be enacted. America will become the most pro-abortion nation on earth.
- Affirmative action – hiring and promotions based on race, sex and sexual orientation until specified quotas are reached – will be rigorously enforced throughout the U.S. government and private sector.
- Universal health insurance will be enacted, covering legal and illegal immigrants, providing another powerful magnet for the world to come to America, if necessary by breaching her borders.
- A federal bailout of states and municipalities to keep state and local governments spending up could come in December or early next year.
The first trillion-dollar deficit will be run in the first year of an Obama presidency. It will be the first of many
And here’s a list from Richard Viguerie:
Making America [more] a socialist country [Bush has already taken us much farther in this direction].
Enacting a major distribution of wealth - in other words, taking from some Americans and giving it to others (including people here illegally).
Increasing the capital gains tax, which will reduce investments and new jobs.
Increasing the estate (death) tax, leaving more to the government and less for your children and grandchildren.
"Allowing" the Bush tax cuts to expire, thereby increasing taxes on most Americans.
Removing the cap on Social Security payroll taxes.
Increasing taxes on seniors who continue to work after retirement age.
Enacting huge taxes to fight "global warming," such as higher taxes on gasoline.
Merging the tax and welfare systems, disguising welfare checks as "tax cuts."
Creating more "welfare" programs for corporations using taxpayer money.
Instituting more taxpayer bailouts for Wall Street and other big corporations.
Imposing rules that require nearly all workers to join unions, even against their wishes.
Instituting a new "Fairness Doctrine" that would cause broadcast stations to eliminate radio talk shows (no more Rush Limbaugh, Jim Dobson, Laura Ingram, etc.). [Look for restrictions on freedom of speech on the internet, too.]
Issuing government mandates that increase the cost of health insurance, and making patients wait longer to see their doctors, dentists, and other health care providers.
Rationing health care for all, especially seniors.
Rationing health care for premature infants.
Rationing health care for people with rare diseases.
Rationing health care for people when doctors guess that they are terminally ill.
Rationing health care that uses new or expensive medicine or medical technology.
Having the government determining who will be your doctor.
Having the government deciding which hospital you will use.
Having the government deciding what medicines you can take.
Increasing welfare payments for illegal aliens.
Increasing taxpayers' health care spending on illegal aliens.
Eliminating rules that prevent vote fraud, such as requiring voter identification, and providing voting rights for felons.
Imposing government control over political content on the Internet.
Passing "hate crime" laws that would put ministers and others in jail for criticizing homosexual behavior.
Passing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would require de facto quotas for homosexuals in every business and non-profit organization.
Requiring taxpayers to pay for all abortions and providing additional federal support to organizations that perform abortions.
Allowing all abortions, including partial-birth abortions.
Removing all state restrictions on abortion, including late-term abortions and requirements that health care be given to infants who survive abortions.
Voiding state laws on parental consent and informed consent.
Appointing judges who make decisions based on their political beliefs, instead of the Constitution and statutory law.
Ending restrictions on plaintiff lawyers who file frivolous lawsuits.
Signing and ratifying treaties that transfer U.S. sovereignty to the United Nations and other international organizations.
Making the District of Columbia the 51st state (with two Senators and a House member in Congress).
Making Puerto Rico the 52nd state (with two Senators and six House members in Congress).
Increasing federal government spending by a trillion dollars a year ($13,000 per family).
Good evidence exists that Obama’s “socialism” is more in line with the methods of Antonio Gramsci. Nazis also put them to good use. The result will be increasing American corporatism, or fascism.
Okay, enough already. Obama will probably win the election, if we can believe the polls. He certainly has the media pushing for him big time.
If McCain wins, expect major civil unrest. Police departments around the country are gearing up for it. If he wins, I’ll start forecasting what to expect.
Above all, remember: the Powers That Be ultimately control both candidates of the major parties. The NeoCons don’t want to relinquish their power. But like a tag team match in professional wrestling, it may be time to put a new villain into the ring.

Critical Update
Watch this interview from Oct. 4 with Naomi Wolf who wrote the book and article on the 10 steps to a police state, and how to fight back. We are well on the way to the police state. She is "scared to death." So am I. The coup to steal America went into high gear last week with the passage of the bailout bill. The Treasury has been set up as a fourth branch of government, unaccountable for its actions.
These two articles, Mindwars and Mindwars 2, explain how the mass public has been brainwashed to follow the leader. The trauma of 9-11 is the prime example. If you understand that the official story is a total sham, this will explain to you how the manipulation was done.
Fear is the doorway they use to hack your mind. Fear was used to ram through the Patriot Act and justify the invasion of Afghanistan, that was already planned and in process before 9-11. Fear was used to sell the Iraq War. Fear was used to re-elect Bush, as the terror threat levels were constantly being lowered and raised leading up to the 2004 elections. Fear was used to ram through the Fat Cat Bailout.
If you still believe the official story, then please, try to work your way through these articles. Understand how your mind and emotions have been manipulated. Go through the mental and emotional pain to consider seriously what you heretofore have considered so evil as to be unthinkable. Not only is it thinkable, they have done it. Several links on the right side of the blog will take you to sources that debunk the official conspiracy theory, IF you are able to ignore the official explanations and think for yourself.
If you still believe the official story, you are believing a lie, pure and simple. If you smugly deny what I am saying and reject it as a "conspiracy theory," then you are behaving as you have been programmed.
If you are not curious enough to investigate what I am saying, then you have no excuse to claim you didn't know when it becomes obvious for all to see. Moreover, you will not be able to evade your responsibility for helping to support the lie any more than the ordinary German people can evade their shared responsibility for Hitler.
Remember, Nazi Germany arose in the midst of one of the most highly educated, industrialized, and Christian nations in history. Most those good German Lutherans gave Hitler their whole-hearted support. They had no idea of his ultimate goals, but rationalized everything in terms of what was necessary to promote and protect their Homeland from internal and external threats ("terrorism").
In this age of sophisticated advertising, television and mass media, the job of manipulating the populace is so much more advanced, subtle and easy. The fact that you might reject all I am saying and think that you are somehow above it all is incredibly naive. As Christ told the Believers of His day, "even the elect will be deceived." At the risk of sounding ridiculously tautological, deception is not deception unless someone is unknowingly deceived. That's why the Truth will set us free from deception. But first, we must be willing to face the truth.
This is a good time to watch again (or for the first time) "The Matrix" (original) and "V is for Vendetta" to help understand the mental chains that restrain us all to some extent. "V" also shows how false flag terrorist operations can be used to frighten and subdue the populace.
There's a good chance that the Internet will come under severe restrictions in the near future. Alex Jones and others have posted stories about an Internet II which will correct the "deficiencies" of the current Internet. "Corrections" will limit free access to web sites. This could also be justified in reaction to crisis to limit "destructive rumors."
Remember this: the Internet was one of the major tools used by the people to defeat the first version of the bailout bill. The last thing our rulers want is for the people to have free access to uncensored information and the ability to communicate freely on a mass scale. Limiting access to communication and information is one of the ten steps to a police state mentioned by Naomi Wolf.
Because things are happening so fast, I may not send an email announcement of every post. So check back to the blog now and then just to see if I posted anything.
Instead of spending so much time crafting a post with lots of links, I may be firing one out with one or two with important updates and more of my synthesizing thoughts. People are starting to send me things to share, like I have in this post. So feel free to do so, but don't be mad if I don't use everything. My time is limited.
We need to hold our nation up in prayer. The times are dire. We need to pray for discernment to see through the wolves dressed in the same clothing as the sheep from our own flock ("conservative," "liberal," etc.) We need to pray for the courage to make preparations and to speak truth to power. We are on the cusp of losing all our forebearers fought and sacrificed for, and far too many people don't even have a clue what the real game is. The elections are a dog and pony show.
I hope those of you who visit this site find it worth your while.
Grace and Peace and Courage be with you!

Financial Tsunami - Category 3 and Growing
A friend just sent me a brief summary of current events: "In the space of roughly seven days you have just witnessed the near-simultaneous failure:
1. Fannie Mae
2. Freddie Mac
3. The FHLBs (Federal Home load Banks)
4. Lehman Bros
5. Merrill Lynch
...which, all totaled equals companies representing:
APPROXIMATELY SEVEN AND ONE HALF TRILLION DOLLARS
And we're not done yet.
Not even close.
On deck is AIG. "
Even in the turmoil, you can still make preparations to lessen the impact on you and your loved ones. Yes, choices are much more limited than they were even three months ago, but you don't have to be swept along like so much flotsam.
It is time to focus on your own liquidity. Cut your discretionary spending, pay off your credit cards, hang on to your job -- if you can. The ripple effects through the economy will leave many finances looking like the aftermath of hurricane Ike. Dave Ramsey has some excellent tools.
If you have savings, IRA's, etc., you need to protect them. Despite the large correction in the precious metals, it is very difficult to buy physical gold and silver. Worldwide investor demand for physical is up, while prices have fallen. It makes no sense. We are most likely headed for the worst of all financial worlds, a hyperinflationary depression, or hyperstagflation. The currency will be inflated to cover all the new obligations the Treasury takes on bailing out banks, investment firms, automakers, airlines, etc. Meanwhile, spiraling unemployment will bring economic activity to a crawl.
And please, invest in at least a 3-month supply of food for your family. Walton Feed has a 12-week backlog. But eFoodsDirect offers shipping in one week. Don't delay.
Make Jim Sinclair's excellent website regular reading. He will help you understand why there is no easy recovery from our predicament. If you have accounts with brokerage houses, you need to take delivery of any shares you want to keep. Here Sinclair tells you what you need to do to protect yourself. Better yet, get out of the stock market altogether. While the Plunge Protection Team is making the most massive cash infusions into the market to prop up the stock market, take advantage of this situation and get out now from anything vulnerable to the financial collapse. That's most everything. Forget about interest and dividends. Try to preserve what you have.
Watch this great video from MSNBC which explains what happened to Lehman Brothers. Now realize that Lehman was just a small part of this worldwide, interconnecting web. When the derivatives exposure of Long Term Capital Management almost toppled the financial markets in 1998, total derivative exposure to the world financial system was a small fraction of what it is today. Think of it as the puffed up egg whites topping a lemon meringue pie. Now squish all the air out of those egg whites. What is left of the egg whites? That's where our economy is headed.
This week I've seen two references (one being the bubble enabler, Alan Greenspan) to our current economic crisis as being a "once in a century event." Remember, the Great Depression of the 1930's started with the stock market crash in 1929. That's 79 years ago. So this may be Great Depression II.
Some of the major differences that today could make our current unfolding depression worse are:
- We still had a gold-backed currency. Today we have a fiate currency in its death-throes, with a dollar today worth about what 2 cents was when the Federal Reserve was founded in 1913.
- Many more people were self-sufficient, living on farms, being self-employed, having gardens, etc.
- Today we've sent offshore much of our manufacturing base and many of our better service jobs. Paul Craig Roberts says the "New Economy" (remember that?) is now based off shore, and as a result, there is not nearly enough money to finance day to day government operations. He expects the government will raid private pensions in an attempt to make ends meet.
- America was a more unified nation, with a proud culture, undergirded by sound values. Today we have a massive welfare culture, great social fissures due to the culture wars, a flood of illegal immigrants will too little assimilation, etc.
- We're overextended militarily with two ongoing wars, a worn out military, more than 800 military bases in more than 150 countries. The maniacs in Washington seem intent on starting a war with Iran, and have been pushing the Russian Bear into a corner by encircling them with missles and missile defenses based in their border countries. Russia has warned of a new world war if either the US or Israel attacks Iran. (Did you see today's revelation that former Rep. Dick Armey accuses Dick Cheney of puposely lying to him about Saddam Hussein and alQaeda to get his vote for the war?)
- The US Constitution seems to be dead and buried. The President claims the powers of a "unitary executive" (doublespeak for "dictator" and seems to think he has the right to kill anybody he pleases. The Patriot Act and its companions has set up the mechanism for martial law and a police state. If the Muslims really hate us for our freedom, then maybe they will leave us alone now, since freedom is now an illusion. I read and hear reports daily about new encroachments on our privacy and Constitutional rights. The American police state lies like a trap waiting to be sprung with the right provocation. (I still plan to report on the police state preview I experienced two weeks ago as a delegate to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul.)
- Our elected officials, especially Congress, are the worst that money can buy. With the few exceptions of statesmen like Ron Paul, most of our elected Federal officials are bought and paid for shills for the interest groups that brought them to Washington. They're masters at the spin game, and they won't take a principled stand for what is best for America.
- There are no significant differences between the candidates for President. Both have given their allegiance to AIPAC, the Israeli lobby. Both staffs are riddled with advisors that assure the established powers that nothing substantial will change, regardless of the rhetoric. Both seem ready to maintain the total surveilance police state and to continue with our wars in the Middle East and Eurasia.
- There are many more differences to be sure, but these come to mind most easily. The bottom line is that we are ill-prepared for what is coming.
All of this makes me more pessimistic about the prospects for withdrawing from our wars of aggression. The historical response to massive domestic economic problems by dictatorial regimes is war. War is a great distraction and excuse for economic hardtimes. It justifies the command economy and suppression of political opposition. A draft for national service or the military is a convenient way to sop up unemployed civilians and give them a paycheck. See Orwell's 1984.
We've just opened a new front in the current wars with attacks in Pakistan. Bush has just taken another step toward war with Iran by imposing new sanctions on Iran's shipping industry. Lord Stirling interprets recent events as Bush agreeing to war with Israel. (See here also.) Take the likely WMD escalation along with Putin's threat to see this as the start of World War III, and we're really in trouble. God help us!
A while back I predicted the death of the dollar by 2013, the hundreth anniversary of the Federal Reserve. The way the Treasury is nationalizing and funding financial firms, with more to come, and the Fed creating money to fund the process, we may not make it that long.
Ever since I read Harry Browne's classic "How You Can Profit from the Coming Devaluation" back in 1970, I've been expecting the financial collapse. I covered some of this ground previously, as well as in many of my other previous posts. The financial "Masters of the Universe" have finally reached the limits of their ability to manage the economy. At best, American imperialism of the last decade of the 20th century will end as reaches its financial limits. At worst, it will end in a world war.Maybe it just seems that way when it finally happens. The news has been so fast and furious that there is hardly time to assimilate it. One thing is sure: America is becoming more overtly fascist. We're are moving into one of the most difficult periods in American history. Pray that we come through it with our freedom intact.
Grace and Courage and Peace Be with You!

Full-Blown Fascism Emerging in America
In his brilliant video, "From Freedom to Fascism," Aaron Russo traces the seeds of American fascism to the institution of the federal income tax and Federal Reserve Bank in 1913. Thomas Jefferson repeatedly warned that a central bank would spell the end of freedom in the US.
I've seen several lists like the one Naomi Wolf gives as her ten steps (video) (print) followed by every country that abandons freedom for fascism. They're all happening here. With the announcement yesterday that we now have one million people on the official terrorist watch, her discussion about how she and many others were put on the list is chilling.
Yes, 9-11 changed everything -- including Americans' understanding of, and desire for, political freedom. Hitler used the Reichstaag fire to pass the Enabling Act to take total power in Germany. In the same way, Bush used 9-11 as the pretext for passing the PATRIOT ACTS I & II and their bretheren. It is interesting that China is building a high-tech police state with the help of US technology.
The recent passage of the revamped FISA law is one more step towards total tyranny. Joel Skousen writes: "With the final passage of the FISA reform bill this week, the US Senate has reached a new low in its outright disregard for the constitution its members are sworn to uphold. Simply put, Congress has no power to legislate any law that violates any of the provisions of the constitution. Period.
In this case, the constitution is clear: no warrantless searches are permitted--none. That's what constitutions are supposed to do: put strict limits on lawmaking power so that individual rights are protected from evil minorities, evil majorities, or in this case, insipid yes men in Congress eager to please those above them conspiring to use the phony threat of terrorism to dismantle constitutional protections."
For all you folks who have put your hope in Obama, after saying he wouldn't, he voted for FISA. I hate to burst your bubble, but he won't do away with the total surveillance state. Nor will he withdraw from Iraq, or keep us out of Iran. He's under the thumb of the same PTB as Bush, and McCain. Think Obama is anti-war? He just promised 10,000 more US soldiers to Afghanistan! Does anyone remember how the Soviet Union was brought down in part because of their disastrous Afghan adventure? McBama OCain for President!
More and more liberals and progressives are warning that "voting for Obama and keeping one's fingers crossed, is not a sign of hope. It's a sign of self-delusion." So is voting for McCain to "perserve freedom."
Bill Moyers decries the demise of the media into their current position as lap dogs of the PTB. "Sadly . . . the Fourth Estate has become the fifth column of democracy, colluding with the powers that be in a culture of deception that subverts the thing most necessary to freedom, and that is the truth."
If the media had been doing its job, it "could have spared that country from rack and ruin, saved thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives, and freed hundreds of billions of dollars for investment in the American economy and infrastructure." Instead, the media basically parroted the erroneous and misleading intelligence fed to them by the liars who wanted this war.
Stephen Colbert skewered the press two years ago when he revealed how they operate when he keynoted the US Press Club dinner: ". . . let's review the rules. Here's how it works. The president makes decisions, he’s the decider. The press secretary announces those decisions, and you people of the press type those decisions down. Make, announce, type. Put them through a spell check and go home. Get to know your family again. Make love to your wife. Write that novel you got kicking around in your head. You know, the one about the intrepid Washington reporter with the courage to stand up to the administration . . . You know, Fiction."
TSA announced earlier this month that they want to develop a "safety bracelet" for all airline passengers to wear. Taking the place of a boarding pass, it will not only monitor your whereabouts, but be your own personal Taser device -- on you, of course! Announcing the new iShock!

A Sign of our Times - In the fifth this year of many coming bank failures, the California's IndyMac had lines of depositors trying to get their money. Those with more than $100K were left holding the bag. Without a massive infusion, the FDIC will be able to cover only a small fraction of the total number of bank deposits at risk. In an attempt to calm the public, and FDIC official assures us that the former IndyMac Bank is "as safe and as sound as any bank in the country right now." If IndyMac just failed, what does that say about the other banks?!
Some $1 billion of uninsured deposits held by 10,000 IndyMac customers are now trapped and federally seized. Since FDIC only insures deposits of up to $100,000, holders of accounts with larger amounts under one social security number (business and/or personal) may consider dispersing funds to safer havens.
The new plan to bail out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could cost US taxpayers hundreds of billions, if not trillions, of dollars. Ambrose Evans-Pritchard writes that as the full effects of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debacle spread through the world, the US could face a "foreign funding crisis." That could be devasting since we depend upon $700 billion a year in funding from Asian, Russian and Middle Eastern sources to fund our current account deficit.
So we're borrowing money to fund to fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and so Iraqi puppet Prime Minister al-Maliki can hand out cash on the streets of Baghdad?

Iran just discovered a huge new oil field and signed a signed a major oil deal with Russia. Now an attack on Iran will now be viewed as an attack on Russia's vital interests. China aleady views it as such because of a long-term $400 billion LNG contract. The Russions have reportedly stationed their latest fighters and bombers in easy reach of Iran and Iraq if their vital interests are threatened. Are we at the edge of the abyss? Maybe so, if it is true that Bush supports an Israeli attack on Iran.
Maybe it is only our own soliders who have the leverage to stop the war with Iran. Support the Troops! Bring 'em Home!

We Need to Restore the Spirit of Liberty in America
The disastrous legacy of the Cheney-Bush administration -- the pending financial disaster, the rise of the total surveillance security state, and the prospect of endless war -- threaten the survival of our Republic. Neither Barack Obama nor John McCain has the principles, vision and character to lead us toward more freedom and renewed prosperity. Congressional leadership is no better.
Congressman and medical doctor Ron Paul stands apart, and mostly alone, as a man dedicated to the principles of political liberty. He spoke Truth to Power in the Republican primaries and
became a phenomenon among young adults. He raised more money in the last quarter of 2007 than any other Republican. He insisted that his campaign was not about him, about the principles he holds and presents clearly and consistently.
Please read Dr. Paul's "Something Big Is Going On" to set the tone for your Independence Day holiday. And get his New York Times best-selling book, The Revolution: A Manifesto, for a clear-headed analysis and call to action. Michael Scheuer, recently retired CIA agent and expert on the mess we've made in the Middle East, reviews it here.
It is up to the people who discern the times, and know what should be done, to stand up and be counted. Only a precious few are able to see and think outside the bogus left-right analytical grid that obfuscates the real issues pertinent to political freedom. That you are reading this blog shows that you are one of them. With knowledge, comes responsibility. Take it!
