The Ruling Class is Our Enemy

Thanks to Lew Rockwell for today's title, which he aptly gave to Dr. Gary North's analysis of the main article which was the subject of my last post on libertarian class analysis, Angelo Codevilla's "America's Ruling Class – And the Perils of Revolution." If you haven't read it yet, stop now and at least print it out for savoring later. It is a seminal essay for those who want to restore Liberty to America.

North regards Codevilla "as America's smartest conservative political analyst." North's own essay, "Codevilla's Not-Quite Manifesto," says that it is "the finest statement on the two-fold division in American political life written in my lifetime – more than this, in the last hundred years. He has laid it out clearly, accurately, and eloquently." North says that the major weakness of Codevilla's work is that it is short on answering the crucial question asked by Lenin a hundred years ago: "What is to be done?"

Nevertheless, both of these essays are must reads. If you don't have time to read, you don't have time to lead, folks.  

I found out that Rush Limbaugh was so taken by Codevilla's work that he cleared a whole hour for it last week! So Rush has planted numerous seeds for us to nurture and harvest. Maybe Rush is having second thoughts about being one of the Elites?

Long-time friend and libertarian blogger Charles Burris adds important dimensions to the the discussion of "the most important [essay] I have ever read" in "Codevilla, North and the Ruling Class."  Burris says "Angelo M. Codevilla is our generation’s Tom Paine.  He has authored a 'Common Sense' analysis and call to action against a hubristic ruling class that debases our currency and our culture."

This is why you need to read it folks. And apply the terminology as often as you can, especially the terms "ruling class," "political class," "Elites," and all such variants. What you choose to call the "country class" can be flexible with your audience.

Paul Craig Roberts gives us a nice glimpse into the Ruling Elites with "Let Them Eat Wedding Cake." In a reference to Marie Antoinette's famous comment about the suffering of the French people on the eve of the Revolution, Roberts contrasts the $5 million Elite-Class Chelsea Clinton wedding to a Goldman Sachs son with the millions of jobless and hungry Americans. He impertinently asks how "a poor boy who became governor of Arkansas and president of the United States got such a fortune that he can blow $3,000,000 on a wedding." (The taxpayers picked up the other $2 million tab for security so the Elites could party safely away from the Commoners.)

By the way, if you're at all interested in the real levers of power, the hidden dynamics that run the world, I suggest you start with Charles Burris' excellent essay "Hidden History: Where Organized Crime and Government Meet." Charles is a long-time student of the criminal, conspiratorial aspects of history. I know from experience that the more you find out about the way things work, the more you realize that government at the highest levels is a multitude of criminal conspiracies.

Speaking of Conspiracies . . .

In my last post, I addressed the topic of "conspiracy theories," and how the PTB have instilled in most people a knee-jerk reaction against the idea. Yet, conspiracies operate all the time. The conspirators are the ones who want you to take everything at face value, as in "move on along; nothing to see here."

The greatest conspiracy prior to the multi-trillion dollar bailout thefts involved the 9/11 attacks. They provided the rationale for our stupid, immoral, bankrupting wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the concurrent construction of the surveillance state. If it is true, as George Bush said, that the "terrorists attacked us because of our freedom," then they've won. We are much less free than we were eight years ago! Four years of Obama promise to make Bush look like an amateur. But I digress.

A few weeks ago a ground-breaking scientific paper appeared in a peer-reviewed Open Chemical Physics Journal, “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe.” "The paper ends with this sentence: 'Based on these observations, we conclude that the red layer of the red/gray chips we have discovered in the WTC dust is active, unreacted thermitic material, incorporating nanotechnology, and is a highly energetic pyrotechnic or explosive material.'

In short, the paper explodes the official story that “no evidence” exists for explosive/pyrotechnic materials in the WTC buildings. What is high-tech explosive/pyrotechnic material in large quantities doing in the WTC dust? Who made tons of this stuff and why? Why have government investigators refused to look for explosive residues in the WTC aftermath?"

Here is a mainstream television interview with one of the scientists on Dutch TV. Note the discussion of "conspiracy theories" at the end. Most people who dismiss conspiracy theories forget that the outlandish tale of 19 hijackers defeating airport security in three airports, as well as the US air defense system, is itself a "conspiracy theory."

To date, this article has been ignored by the Mainstream Media. But not Raw Story. Surprise, surprise. Nary a peep from the Obama Dept. of Justice, either. "Move on along . . ."

Then today I found this on the excellent George Washington's Blog:
Senior Counsel to the 9/11 Commission: "At Some Level of the Government, at Some Point in Time . . . There Was an Agreement Not to Tell the Truth"

"On April 14th, the senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission - John Farmer - will publish a book called The Ground Truth: The Story Behind America's Defense on 9/11.

The book has not yet been released, and I'm not sure what Farmer will say. But here is a quote available on Amazon:

At some level of the government, at some point in time...there was an agreement not to tell the truth about what happened.

Farmer's publisher, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt [mainstream publisher], says of the book:

Farmer builds the inescapably convincing case that the official version not only is almost entirely untrue but serves to create a false impression of order and security.

Farmer has previously said:

I was shocked at how different the truth was from the way it was described .... The [Norad air defense] tapes told a radically different story from what had been told to us and the public for two years.... This is not spin. This is not true."

More people are catching on to the truth daily. The Smoking Mirrors blog analyzes many of the implications of the dawning truth about 9/11. While I applaud the people starting to overcome their cognitive dissonance and wake up to the truth, I also know it means we are much closer to Obama's version of 9/11.

Remember that Joe Biden and others warned that early in Obama's reign we would face a great crisis? Even Obama has warned us that he expects new al-CIAda attacks on US soil. Nothing like a new "shock and awe" event to snuff out the rising taxpayer rebellion and state sovereignty movement, deflect attention to a new war, and impose martial law. If/when this happens folks, try not to lose your head like we all did the first time eight years ago.

While most knee-jerk liberals are joining in a mesmerized trance behind the Pied Piper Obama, an increasing number of conservatives are awakening from their Bush-induced stupor. They're beginning to realize that Cheney-Bush made major strides in constructing a police state that Obama will now use to target those same conservative, constitutionalists as potential domestic terrorist threats to our security!

Just a few weeks ago just-released memos from the Justice Department revealed that elements withing the Bush administration were developing plans for a complete military takeover of the US. This was shortly after the leaked MIAC report identified constitutionalists, Ron Paul supporters and others as possible domestic terrorists as a warning to law enforcement. Since the MIAC reported was leaked from one of fifty national "fusion centers," it was likely that this was part of a larger, nationally coordinated effort.

Subsequently, the Virginia Terrorism Assessment said much the same thing, followed by a leaked report directly from DHS predicting "terrorism" in response to new gun restrictions coming from Obama. The media tried to blame the recent murder-suicide rampage at the New York cultural center on a man who was supposedly distraught over this! The report even equates abortion opponents with white supremacists!

It seems DHS and their ilk sense that regular working people, taxpayers who just want to live their lives and raise their children, are getting "mad as hell and aren't going to take it any more," to quote Howard Beal in Network. Tomorrow is the most dreaded day of the year, April 15. That's the day that we line up to pay tribute to the government according to the 15th Amendment that many maintain wasn't even legally passed.

Tea Parties are happening all over the country as people are looking for an outlet to release their anger. They may lead to larger riots and civil unrest just like we're seeing all over Europe, China and elsewhere. May we hope that all the protests remain peaceful, that this becomes a "velvet revolution." Gerald Celente, the noted trends forecaster, has predicted, and is calling for, peaceful, focused revolution as the only way to save America.

The Global Elite are obviously worried. We're seeing an effort by the political establishment to funnel the protests into Republican, rather than non-partisan endeavors. We're also seeing commentators like Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter positioning themselves as leaders. These are the same people that ridiculed Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and their Constitutional arguments during the Presidential campaign. It's an old tactic to try to co opt and control the opposition. Let's not let it happen this time.

And even then, what do we do after the Tea Parties? Do we dig in and work for substantial change? Or do we go back about our business while the last flames of liberty are snuffed out?

The choice, dear readers, is up to you and you and me. If we will each do our part to awaken one more person, or to resist the machinery or throw sand in the gears of tyranny wherever we see them, then we can prevail. May God help us!

Conpiracy Theories and You

Perhaps the greatest barrier most Americans have to correctly analyzing current events is a knee-jerk rejection of "conspiracy theories." The more educated a person is, the more they quickly dismiss conspiracies as simple-minded, false explanations for events manifesting from mysterious "forces of history." The idea of humans acting in secret to achieve illicit goals is a preposterous offence to rational thinking, as all respectable people know!

From birth we've been taught that in politics what you see is what you get. We've been told that the Mainstream media and so-called Alternative media are telling us the truth, the whole truth, about political and economic events. If there were any conspirators manipulating events behind the scenes, then some insider would spill the beans, making millions in the process and becoming a national hero for his courage. Therefore, while most people acknowledge the conspiratorial actions of small town politicians and their local power structure, there are no conspiracies of national or international consequence. Question: who benefits by this belief?

Even though I once held this view, I now know it is purposefully created delusion. Yet I hear it repeated every day.

President John F. Kennedy thought otherwise, and courageously said as much in a speech to the press three months after taking office. (View video.)"Kennedy was a big supporter of the Constitution, he was against the tyranny of big government. He wanted to withdraw US troops from Vietnam. He wanted to abolish the CIA and Federal Reserve, and he warned us of criminal elements within the establishment who wanted to seize an opportunity to restrict people's freedoms. He urged the press to be more open and to fulfill its obligation to inform the American people about pertinent facts. And on top of that he spoke openly and candidly about the dangers of secret societies and their influence over the way government works. So is it any wonder that he was dramatically silenced only two years after making this epic speech?"

If you still think there are no significant conspiracies, read this or stop speaking and thinking nonsense. The crises of our times are much too dire for you to choose agnosticism or obtuseness about this issue.

The rich and powerful play by different rules than we ordinary folk, and have different goals in mind when there is no practical benefit to earning more money.

Our financial crisis is an engineered crisis. Like the 9-11 attacks, what we're seeing is a controlled demolition of the economy in favor of the Global Elite. Financial insiders ("Wall Street" for short) engaged in massive fraud and theft prior to the emergence of the crisis, with blatant thievery taking place now. Watch this remarkable Bill Moyers interview with William Black discussing the blatant, high-level fraud by Wall Street CEOs that makes Bernie Madoff look like an amateur.

Some estimate that the theft (er, "bailout") so far is over $12 Trillion -- equal to the national GDP! The capital structure of the US is being stolen right before our eyes, in defiance of, and to the extreme detriment of, the people. It has been said that the last official act of any government is to loot the country before it leaves.

Goldman Sachs is the largest ultimate recipient of bailout funds, and just so happens to be the source of so many Treasury Secretaries and staff. Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke resists Congressional calls to show who are the recipients of bailout money that transforms future American generations into indentured servants. (Or maybe we will just see our currency destroyed, along with the middle class and retirees, as has happened three times this century in Argentina.) Read The Creature from Jekyll Island for a detailed account of the big bankers conspired to create the insidious Federal Reserve Bank. The power to print money is the power to control countries.

Look at how the FBI created a "strategic alliance" with the Mortgage Bankers Association early in the unfolding crisis, and how this has led to a condition where there have been NO indictments for fraud so far -- although one industry observer believes there at least 500,000 cases of mortgage fraud that have been perpetrated by lenders! Conspiracy? Heaven forbid!!

Or take a look at the circumstances surrounding the exposure of the sex scandal that bounced Elliot Spitzer from the New York Governor's office. Just a few weeks after his detailed attack in the Washington Post on the Bush administration for its collusion with predatory lenders, the FBI went public with its report on Spitzer and prostitution. With all the real problems in the US, then why is the FBI involved in enforcing prostitution laws, unless they are being used as a political

hit squad? Connect the dots. Get the picture?

On top of all this is the move to implement the Global Elite's long-range dream of a World Government. British PM Gordon Brown, Henry Kissinger and many others are openly calling for a New World Order, along with calls for a new global reserve currency and central bank. Plans to do this emerged in the aftermath of the recent G20 meeting.

Want to change this through the political process? Think Obama will bring real change from the direction we're going? Then think through what Insider historian Carroll Quigley said in his seminal book, Tragedy and Hope: "The two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can 'throw the rascals out' at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy."

Jesse Ventura, ex-Minnesota Governor and ex-professional wrestler, has said that American politics is much like professional wrestling. He should know. The false left-right paradigm gives the appearance of opposition, but in reality, the Elite owns all major candidates and Presidents. Mavericks like Dennis Kucinich, Ralph Nader and Ron Paul are ridiculed by the Mainstream media, while washed up has-beens like John (Keating Five) McCain, are resurrected over a cold January weekend to fill one side of the fight card.

Obama is just the latest manifestation of political continuity, appearing as change, in at least the last hundred years of American politics. The idea that Obama emerged from nowhere on a swell of grassroots support to capture the Presidency and decisively change America for the better is an infantile fantasy, a manifestation of magical thinking. If you believe that, I have some US Treasury Bonds I'd like to sell you! And if you think that Obama is not totally in the pocket of the Global Elite and Wall Street, then you might like some Credit Default Swaps, too!!

Remember: the real issue is not the false left-right paradigm that confuses political thinking. It is liberty vs. power, or as George Ure at UrbanSurvival.com (must reading with your morning coffee) says, the PTB vs. the people. He comments on the results of recent political polling: "When the cross-tabbing and interviewing's done, turns out the partisan gap between the republicorps and the democorps is at its widest in a long spell. Now that is useful information. When the real 'balance of power' in the world is between the 'haves and the have-nots, notice how the partisan lines/ vertical axis get ramped up in order to suck people back into the right/left paradigm, rather than the horizontal axis which defines vertical position: the PTB vs. the people... something to ponder, doncha think?" Yes, please think, dear reader.

The bottom line of all this is that conspiracies are common thoughout history, and are happening today. Too many of us are like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. We're mesmerized by the sound and fury put on by the Wizard. Instead, we should have the courage of Toto to look behind the curtain. Only then will we be able to understand what's happening, and maybe chart a different course than the Criminal Elite has in store for us. If we choose, instead, not to look, then we're without excuse in our chosen victimhood.

The Obama Deception and Economic Collapse

Though I've taken a bit of a sabbatical from posting my blog for two months, I've not stopped analyzing current events with an eye toward developing meaningful responses. I've enjoyed my respite from the depressing task of chronicling the collapse of most of the world's economies and the apparent end of what remains of Constitutional government in the US.

If I didn't think that my musings might be helpful to some of my readers, I would stop taking the time to do this. Time is the most limited resource. So if you find my posts helpful, please let me know. I'm certainly not doing this for the money! I write in hopes of helping to wake people up and motivate them to take actions to survive the Crisis we've entered.

While I wish I could report that the Obama administration's actions in his first 50 days fulfill his promise of "hope" and meaningful "change" for the better, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the Obamanation is proving to be every bit as bad as I feared, and probably worse. Most every prediction I made in my post of January 2nd is coming true.

Whatever his motives -- whether sincerely trying to do the best for America (doubtful) or cynically carrying out a plan for the global financial elite to impoverish and enslave us (likely) -- his announced policies and pending legislation by his party and allies spell doom for the American Dream and Constitutionally-limited government of our founders.

While the timing of future economic events and consequences is uncertain, their probability is high. Austrian economic theory (Mises, Hayek, Rothbard) makes it easy to see why Keynesianism has failed over the long term, and why more of the same will not save us this time. Peter Schiff's accurate predictions 2006-2007 were based on Austrian theory. Government produces nothing but chaos and inefficiency, and certainly can't create productive jobs any better than the market can. All it can do is regulate, mandate, borrow and inflate away the value of our currency, as well as wage wars and otherwise meddle in the affairs of other nations.

What we need to do is follow the Austrian prescription and restore a sound monetary system. Abolish the Federal Reserve, balance the budget, bring home the troops to provide a real homeland defense giving a real stimulus to the economy with the freed up money, and let the economy purge itself of all the malinvestments caused by the last 95 years of stimulus and fiat money creation.

That is not likely to happen because politicians feel like they "have to do something," and fiat money gives them the ability to buy votes and favor their friends (see the "stimulus" bill's fine print). Instead, we have initial bailout commitments in the range of $8.5 Trillion with a derivative bomb of $700 Trillion to 1.28 Quadrillion still waiting to detonate. Do you think your paper dollar-based investments are going to retain their value? There is a good reason why gold is the best-performing investment of the last twelve months. This year gold will probably rise to $1500-2000 measured in depreciating USD. Shortages in gold coins are again appearing, as the Mint has decided to stop producing fractional coins altogether.

If you are still listening to mainstream financial advisers, stop it (unless they told you to sell your stocks by last summer and invest in gold). They are part of the system. They don't make any money off you unless they invest your money in conventional investments. Once you buy gold and silver and put it in a safe place, they make no money off you. So why on earth would they tell you otherwise, unless they are highly ethical?

Jon Stewart did a masterful job last week chopping up Jim Cramer (see video) as the face of all the CNBC and other mainstream financial commentators who have always promoted conventional investments and the buy-and-hold mantra. What a sad state of affairs when it takes a late-night cable TV comedian to step into the gap vacated by financial journalists. No wonder newspapers are going broke! People want the truth!! I rarely miss watching The Daily Show.

Do not be deceived by the current strength of the USD relative to other currencies which are deteriorating more rapidily. This short term so-called "flight to safety" (sic) into the USD and the continuing near-zero interest rate on treasury debt is just the latest financial bubble. The Treasury has to float 2.7 $Trillion ($450 billion a month) in new debt by September, and no one has the cash. If they get it, the bubble gets even bigger. If they don't, watch it burst.

The flight from the USD could come suddenly and happen rapidly. The global consequences could be more devastating than anyone wants to contemplate. The global financial system is so interconnected, that it could suffer a massive meltdown. When the bubble bursts, expect a stampede into precious metals, commodities and other real wealth stores of value.

We're seeing The Looting of America's Coffers right before our eyes! To add injury to insult, the head of the Fed and Treasury Secretary refuse to tell us who the ultimate recipients are! Moreover, Washington is preparing the FDIC for massive bank failures with a new bill authorizing $500 billion in "loans" to insure bank deposits. (Now we know why 60 Minutes featured the FDIC smoothly handling a bank failure last week.)

It is important for you to realize deep down in your gut that the economy is not in a mere "recession," no matter how much you hear the talking heads say it. We are in a collapse or "massive deleveraging" or Greater Depression or a condition "worse than the Great Depression" exacerbated by the actions in the last days of the Bush Administration and continued by Obama. (Always remember that Obama worked hard to get the original Banker Bailout Bill passed last fall.) That being the case, we all need to make preparations NOW to survive in precarious times unlike any most of us have ever experienced.

Increasing numbers of people are already making preparations. The basics include: putting in a basic food supply (yes, "victory gardens" are back); a water source and filtration system; secure heirloom seeds and plant a food garden; securing a supply of basic medications; securing self-defense tools and abilities; converting paper investments to gold, silver and barter items; relocating to a safer location if possible; and many more. Governments at any level will not be able to save us. The politicians don't have the money or the expertise. What's more, with unemployment rising and oil prices and property values falling, tax receipts are falling. So most governments are experiencing significant budget shortfalls, if not outright bankruptcy. Services and transfer payments will be cut. Most pensions will not be paid, except with greatly depreciated dollars. Most baby boomers won't spend their "golden years" on the golf course, unless they had the foresight to put their investments into gold (and if golf courses are not planted in food or covered with tent cities).

Most pensions and government retirement, medical and insurance programs are all Ponzi schemes that depend on continual economic growth and new contributors to keep paying out benefits. Experts have been warning for a generation that Social Security and Medicare are unfunded liabilities (the "trust funds" are "invested" in government IOUs) and would go bankrupt sometime between 2010 and 2020 when the baby boomers move significantly into their retirement years.

The politicians at the national level mostly know all this. Reports of the super-secret closed-door session of Congress a year ago say they were warned then about the coming financial crisis last September and the prospects for martial law. Senator Inhofe and Rep. Brad Sherman both reported that impending martial law was the threat used to push through the Banker Bailout Bill after its initial rejection.

My personal view is that we are headed for outright, conscious dictatorship under Obama. If you are still misty-eyed and goose-bumpy over the "hope" you have in Obama, I'd urge you to look at the facts and connect the dots for yourself. You are just as prone to make the same kinds of denials, rationalizations and justifications for Obama as conservatives made for the incredibly reprehensible actions of the the Cheney-Bush cabal. It is human nature not to admit you've been wrong or conned. I often ask Obama fans if they think Obama supporters will stay in denial as long as Bush supporters did. The most common response is silence and a blank stare.

Obama is no more in charge than Bush was. His "lost years" make speculation about his being some kind of "Manchurian Candidate" easy. They work for the same people. Obama had three times the amount of campaign contributions from Wall Street as John McCain, and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, made his fortune in a few years of investment banking plying the connections he made in the Clinton administration.

Whether you want to call them the global elite, the Illuminati, the Anglo-American establishment, the Capitalists, the Communists, or whatever, they are the same people that have been in control from more than a hundred years. No one becomes President without their blessing and support, and no one stays President unless they go along with the program.

It is no accident that Obama's administration is stuffed full of members of the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, ex-Wall Street financiers and Zionist agents. When Jimmy Carter replaced Gerald Ford, it was commonly said that the Trilateral B Team was simply replacing the Trilateral A Team. If your mind wants to reject this kind of thinking as "conspiratorial," just ask yourself where did this revulsion against "conspiracies" came from? Did you come to this conclusion yourself, or did you pick it up in college or from the mainstream media? As Murray Rothbard wrote "It is also important for the State to inculcate in its subjects an aversion to any outcropping of what is now called 'a conspiracy theory of history.' For a search for 'conspiracies,' as misguided as the results often are, means a search for motives, and an attribution of individual responsibility for the historical misdeeds of ruling elites."

It is easy to make the case that the recently passed "stimulus bill" is a prescription for chaos designed to consolidate more power in Washington, specifically in the Executive branch. "It has all been planned. And the goal is not to help the economy. The goal is to achieve chaos, because chaos leads to more government control . . . They don't believe they should be bothered with elections or dissent or any of the nuisances of a free society. They believe they deserve perpetual power, because they are part of the enlightened elite.

Prepare for harder times than you have seen in your lifetime.
Prepare for more debt.
Prepare for more redistribution of wealth, more unfairness and inequity.
Prepare for one bailout after another.
Prepare for more "emergency" legislation like the so-called "stimulus" bill.
Prepare for unilateral executive action through presidential decision directives.
Prepare for attacks on the free press and free speech.
This is where we are inevitably going with the "change" promises by Obama.
You're going to get change all right.
The government is going to show you how bad it can get, so you will accept its most draconian solutions.
You haven't seen anything yet."

Obama's prescription for Amerika is a "toxic brew" that seems intent on a revolutionary upheaval that will move us closer to the USSR, Nazi Germany or Castro's Cuba than anything imagined by our Founders.
